Tis the Season!

for vendor shows! And now they are finished! It has been a great year for Lighthouse Embroidery. I would like to thank all of my loyal repeat and new customers for their business. The vendor show season finished today with a wonderful day spent at Patuxent River Naval Station for their annual Christmas Craft Show. It ended at 3 pm with SNOW!!! Now it's starting to feel like Christmas.

Shopping will continue in my studio by appointment for anyone who needs to shop for personalized or unique gifts. I still have a few new tricks up my sleeve!! Pacifier bibs and doggie bandanas are new! I will add photos as soon as I take some!

I still have some monogrammable "Go Green" bags in stock, so get yours before they're gone. I will not be ordering again before Christmas.

Kudos to the people who dreamed up the Purse Plus cell phone bags. They have been a best seller at every show this fall. You can still get yours.....I re-order these almost every week.

Now it is time to fill orders, and Christmas shop for my family. I see some much needed relaxation with family and friends in the very near future. To all I wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Purse Plus

This is the tiny purse that holds a lot! It has a special cell phone pocket, a clear window for id on the opposite side and a center zip section that opens wide. Plenty of room inside for a small camera, money/credit cards, lipstick or keys. There are two straps. One is short and can be used to connect your cell phone purse to your shopping, tote or beach bag. The other is long and adjustable to hang at a length that is comfortable for you.

I can put a single letter monogram on the cell phone flap if desired.

The bag is available in black, navy, brown, hot pink, lime, lt. blue, purple, cranberry, red, yellow and orange.

Douglas Family Welcomes Lilly

The Douglas family proudly introduces the newest member of the family. Lilly is our brand new baby sugar glider. She is between 8 and 12 weeks old. Most people don't know what these cute little critters are, so I'll tell you. She is a marsupial, (NOT a rodent) sort of a cross between a koala bear and a flying squirrel. Fully grown she will only be about 5" long not including her tail.

Lilly will be spending the next two days alone in her cage....de-stressing from her long trip and getting used to the smells and sounds of her new home. After that, we will all be loving her MANY hours a day so that she will bond with her new family and come to trust and love us. We plan to take her everywhere with us once she is fully trained. We have small travel pouches that we can carry like a purse to keep her with us but safe and secure.

Everyone (maybe not Danny so much....he really wanted a dog) is so excited to finally have a pet.

The Market Tote.....tell me what you think.....

I have been searching high and low for a market tote like this one. I absolutely love them but they're hard to find and expensive at the only supplier I've found. They come in the most amazing colors (brown, hot pink, lime, navy, red and orange) - not just solids like this one, but polka dots and stripes and patterns that are just awesome.

As you can see they have a singe handle and no lid or zip top. They have nice rubber feet on the bottom so they won't slip on...say a boat deck or other surface that might be a little wet. The basket part is made of a heavy denier polyester like a nice quality tote bag, so it is washable yet water resistant. It is collapsible because the handle folds down and the fabric portion of the tote can be removed from the frame. This is great especially for storage. We have one from last summer that I love, but it's smaller and does not collapse. This one measures about 19" long x 10" wide and is 9" deep. It will hold a ton of stuff.....toys and activity items for the car....a picnic lunch!......snacks and supplies for the pool or boat.....the possibilities are endless. The price you ask? Monogrammed on the side, the bag will sell for $35. I have not stocked up on these because while I find them so useful, I find them a bit pricey for today's economy.

Tell me what you think......

Julie's lia sophia project

A few days ago I told you that Julie's lia sophia project would soon be done......and as promised, here it is!!! Julie hasn't seen it yet.....is that mean of me? I hope not! Anyway, this bag was tons of fun to make and WOW!!! what a statement it makes. This was done by hand using all clear crystals that I permanently afixed to the tote bag.

She'll be the talk of her next company event! Let me know if I can help you make a statement too!

Fun Projects!!

Today I finished a great project for Jacki who needed a gift for her sorority sister. She wanted a special sweatshirt and here's what we came up with! She's got her greek letters made with Vera Bradley Raspberry Fizz fabric. We added a little message to the cuff and the recipient's name is on the hood.

My next project is for Julie. She sells lia sophia jewelry and she needs a special bag for her team. Soon I'll reveal what we've done for Julie..
